Role cheat sheet
- Tank: Warrior Protection, Paladin Protection, Druid Feral Combat
- Healer: Priest Discipline and Holy, Paladin Holy, Shaman Restoration, Druid Restoration
- Melee DPS: Warrior Arms and Fury, Rogue Assassination, Combat, and Subtlety, Paladin Retribution, Shaman Enhancement, Druid Feral Combat
- Ranged DPS: Hunter Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, and Survival, Mage Arcane, Fire, and Frost, Priest Shadow, Warlock Affliction, Demonology, and Destruction, Shaman Elemental, Druid Balance Hybrids (Paladin, Shaman, Druid, Priest) can swap roles after you leave the starting zone; race access still gates which fantasy you can roll at creation.
Classes
Warrior is plate and Rage. Roles: Tank (Protection), Melee DPS (Arms, Fury). Playable races: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Skyborne, Orc, Undead, Tauren, Troll. Every Forever race can Warrior.
Hunter is mail and Mana with a pet. Roles: Ranged DPS (Beast Mastery, Marksmanship, Survival). Playable races: Human (NEW), Dwarf, Night Elf, Skyborne, Orc, Tauren, Troll. Not available: Gnome, Undead.
Mage is cloth and Mana. Roles: Ranged DPS (Arcane, Fire, Frost). Playable races: Human, Gnome, Skyborne (Alliance High Order), Orc (NEW), Undead, Troll. Not available: Dwarf, Night Elf, Tauren, Horde Skyborne Windshaper.
Rogue is leather with Energy and combo points. Roles: Melee DPS (Assassination, Combat, Subtlety). Playable races: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome, Skyborne, Orc, Undead, Troll. Not available: Tauren.
Priest is cloth and Mana. Roles: Healer (Discipline, Holy), Ranged DPS (Shadow). Playable races: Human, Dwarf, Night Elf, Gnome (NEW), Undead, Troll. Not available: Skyborne, Orc, Tauren.
Warlock is cloth and Mana with a demon pet. Roles: Ranged DPS (Affliction, Demonology, Destruction). Playable races: Human, Gnome, Orc, Undead, Troll (NEW). Not available: Dwarf, Night Elf, Skyborne, Tauren.
Paladin is plate and Mana. Roles: Healer (Holy), Tank (Protection), Melee DPS (Retribution). Playable races: Human, Dwarf, Undead (NEW). Not available: Night Elf, Gnome, Skyborne, Orc, Tauren, Troll. Forever's Undead Paladin is the Horde holy plate headline.
Shaman is mail and Mana with totems. Roles: Ranged DPS (Elemental), Melee DPS (Enhancement), Healer (Restoration). Playable races: Dwarf (NEW), Skyborne (Horde Windshaper), Orc, Tauren, Troll. Not available: Human, Night Elf, Gnome, Undead, Alliance Skyborne High Order. Forever opens Alliance Shaman via Dwarf and Horde Skyborne Windshaper.
Druid is leather and Mana with shapeshift forms. Roles: Ranged DPS (Balance), Melee DPS / Tank (Feral Combat), Healer (Restoration). Playable races: Night Elf, Skyborne (Alliance High Order or Horde Windshaper), Tauren. Not available: Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Orc, Undead, Troll. Skyborne Druid is the Forever forms highlight on both factions.
