Lore

Tauren of the plains follow Cairne Bloodhoof from Camp Narache across Mulgore to the mesa lifts of Thunder Bluff. Forever keeps that wide-sky fantasy and the peaceful-versus-warlike tension that makes the race feel distinct from Orgrimmar's industrial Horde. The Earth Mother framing stays front and center without needing later expansion timelines. On the kit side, War Stomp is the short AoE stun for pulls and PvP bumps, Endurance pads Health and hit chance so melee and casters both feel sturdier, Plainsrunning rewards long movement with stacking speed between fights, and Cultivation lets you duplicate a nearby herb once without Herbalism skill. The class list stays tight on purpose: Warrior, Hunter, Druid, and Shaman only, which keeps Thunder Bluff identity focused.

Faction, capital, and leader

Tauren fight for the Horde. The capital is Thunder Bluff, and the named leader for Forever Classic-era framing is Cairne Bloodhoof. Use that when you pick faction identity, city services, and the lifts or wyvern paths off the mesas.

Starting in Mulgore

You begin in Mulgore. Follow Camp Narache into Bloodhoof Village on that zone page, then ride the lifts into Thunder Bluff before you leave for the Barrens.

Racials

Cultivation

[Cultivation]
Active: Cultivate a nearby herb, growing a duplicate you can harvest without requiring Herbalism skill. Each herb may only be cultivated once.

Endurance

[Endurance]
Passive: Total Health increased by 5% and chance to hit increased by 1%.

Plainsrunning

[Plainsrunning]
Passive: Gain 1% increased movement speed every 5 sec spent moving, up to a maximum of 30% increase. Taking damage or standing still will reduce this effect.

War Stomp

[War Stomp]
Active: Stuns up to 5 enemies within 8 yds for 2 sec.

Exact wording matches our Forever racial traits reference.

Classes

Tauren have no Mage, Rogue, Priest, Warlock, or Paladin lane in Forever.

Who should roll Tauren

Roll Tauren if you want bulk, War Stomp crowd control, and the Horde Druid or Shaman home on the plains. Hunter and Warrior also feel native when you value Endurance and open-world routing with Plainsrunning more than a packed caster roster. If you need Mage, Rogue, Priest, Warlock, or Paladin, pick another Horde race instead of forcing a fantasy that Forever does not offer here.
