Specs and roles
Forever keeps the classic Druid trio. Feral Combat still covers both cat DPS and bear tank in classic-style Forever.
- Balance: Ranged DPS. Moonfire, Starfire, and caster form pressure with Mana management.
- Feral Combat: Melee DPS in Cat Form and tank in Bear Form. Same talent tree identity; form choice sets the role for a dungeon or raid night.
- Restoration: Healer. HoTs, Healing Touch, and classic Resto triage with leather mobility.
Druids stay on leather. Travel Form, Aquatic Form, and shapeshift utility make the class the classic open-world swiss army knife even when another healer or tank is preferred for a specific boss.
Playable races
- Night Elf (Alliance) start in Teldrassil
- Skyborne (Alliance High Order or Horde Windshaper) start in Zephras Isle (new Forever forms)
- Tauren (Horde) start in Mulgore
Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Orc, Undead, and Troll cannot be Druid in Forever.
Race picks that matter
Skyborne Druid is the Forever showcase: both High Order and Windshaper get Druid, Walk on Air, and new Forever forms from Zephras Isle. That is the widest new identity on this class. Night Elf Shadowmeld still pairs with stealthy openers and drink breaks on Alliance. Tauren War Stomp and Endurance remain excellent for Feral tanks and open-world Resto. Unlike Mage and Shaman, Skyborne Druid is not faction-split: both High Order and Windshaper can roll it. There is no Human, Dwarf, Gnome, Orc, Undead, or Troll Druid lane.
