Lore
Night Elves still guard the World Tree and the rites of Elune. Forever keeps Teldrassil as the 1-10 forest home and Darnassus as the capital under Tyrande Whisperwind, without dragging later tree-burning timelines into the Classic-era frame. On the kit side, Shadowmeld remains the signature vanish for open world and PvP resets, Quickness pads dodge and move speed while helping stealth classes stay harder to detect, Elune's Light is a short crit window, and Wisp Spirit speeds corpse runs. The race stays the Alliance home for Druid while still supporting Warrior, Hunter, Rogue, and Priest.
Faction, capital, and leader
Night Elves fight for the Alliance. The capital is Darnassus, and the named leader for Forever Classic-era framing is Tyrande Whisperwind. Use that when you pick faction identity, city services, and early boat or hippogryph travel off the tree.

Who should roll Night Elf
Roll Night Elf if you want the forest leveling fantasy, Shadowmeld as a drop-combat and stealth tool, and Alliance Druid access in one package. Rogue and Hunter lean hard on Quickness and stealth rules that still matter in Classic-paced Forever. Priest and Warrior stay valid when you care more about racial utility than a crowded mid-game class fantasy.
