Specs and roles
Forever keeps the classic Rogue trio. All three are melee DPS; stealth, poisons, and lockpicking define the utility side.
- Assassination: Melee DPS. Poison and finisher fantasy with strong single-target identity.
- Combat: Melee DPS. Sword or dagger Combat flavors, high uptime, and classic blade flurry AoE habits.
- Subtlety: Melee DPS. Opener and control focus, strong PvP and open-world stealth play.
Energy regenerates on a short tick. You build combo points, then dump finishers. Leather stays for the whole game. Vanish, Sprint, and Crowd Control tools make Rogues the classic open-world predator kit.

Tauren cannot be Rogue in Forever.
Race picks that matter
Human sword specialization and Perception pair cleanly with Combat and open-world stealth detection. Night Elf Shadowmeld stacks with Stealth for layered openers. Orc Blood Fury and Hardiness remain top melee racials. Troll Berserking fuels burst finishers. Undead Will of the Forsaken breaks fear and sleep when you get caught. Gnome Escape Artist clears roots. Dwarf Stoneform clears bleeds and poisons on you. Skyborne Rogues keep Walk on Air on either faction from Zephras Isle, which is excellent for vertical escapes and island paths. There is no Forever-only new Rogue race lock beyond Skyborne itself joining the pool. Full numbers live on the Forever racial traits page and on each race guide.
