Who starts here
Only Night Elves begin in Teldrassil. If you want Shadowmeld, nature fantasy, and a Druid-friendly tree start, this is your map. Humans use Elwynn Forest, Dwarves and Gnomes use Dun Morogh, and Skyborne begin on Zephras Isle.
Zone feel and early path
Teldrassil plays like Classic Kalimdor canopy country: glowing roots, moonwells, and grell or sabercat pressure before Darnassus. Keep the early loop high level and classic-shaped. Shadowglen is the tutorial valley around Aldrassil. Dolanaar is the first real town for trainers, inn fantasy, and the road that ties the lower branches to the capital terraces. Avoid inventing Forever-only quest titles; stick to established geography like Shadowglen, Dolanaar, and the Darnassus approach. Once city services are online, Darkshore is the natural next outdoor feel: misty coast, ruins, and a sharper difficulty step than the tree interior. That handoff is the Night Elf pipeline into the wider Alliance Kalimdor lane without needing new town names. Treat Shadowglen as the tutorial canopy, Dolanaar as the first real town, and the Darnassus terraces as the graduation into bank, auction, and boat fantasy toward the mainland.
