Delta Force wrapped up its initial roadmap with the new Season: "Eclipse Vigil" on April 21st, 2025. The update shifts the focus of the game a bit more toward stealth and disruption. Especially with the new operator that joined the fight this season: Nox. Also the Night Mode missions certainly add a more stealthy gameplay.

Nox: The Silent Disruptor

Hélie de Montbel, codenamed Nox, is joining as an Assault operator built for flanking and chaos. His passive called Deep Trauma makes it so that enmies are harder to be survived, but also that they get less healing. This makes Nox perfect for hit-and-run tactics. Nox his Silent Assault ability is where things get interesting. You can activate it to muffle your footsteps, but it will also boost movement speed, and scramble enemy recon. In Operations, tracking devices only ping your starting location. In Warfare, you are even completely invisible to detection. Then there is the Whirlwind Disc gadget that locks onto enemies (faster from behind) and explodes for damage and slowing effects. Pair this with a Tactical Flashbang for maximum disruption and the longest time to get some easy kills. The best part? Nox unlocks free at Tier 1 of the season pass and thus there is no grinding required.

K437 Assault Rifle

The K437 brings .300 BLK rounds to Delta Force with much high damage and fire rate. It's essentially an HK437 variant, but one that fits perfectly with Nox's quick and mobile playstyle. The compact handling makes it ideal for moving from cover to cover, without getting caught out in the open.

Night Mode Changes Everything

Night Mode missions are variants of already existing missions and force players to rethink their approach. Visibility is significantly dropped, sound management becomes crucial, and those laser sights suddenly matter, because they can give your position away. It is not just a change in lighting, it fundamentally alters how you missions approach missions and how things play out.

Looking Ahead

The Eclipse Vigil season is setting up the next chapter for Delta Force quite nicely. The stealth focus provides a welcome change from the usual run-and-gun gameplay, and Nox offers genuinely useful abilities for both coordinated teams as well as solo players. Although Victory Unite mode got delayed to May 30, but the core season delivers enough interesting content already. Eclipse Vigil delivers on its promise of more stealthy gameplay, a complete 180 from Starfall's tank-heavy approach when the new Sineva operator added a powerful ballistic shield.
