After a great closed playtest weekend from September 12th 2025 to September 14th 2025, Fellowship has just gone into open beta for anyone who wants to get some dungeons in. The Fellowship open beta weekend will run from September 18th 2025 to September 23rd 2025 and information can be found on the official Fellowship Open Beta Steam Page. Head over to the main steam page for Fellowship and click that "Join the Playtest" button to start downloading the game and join up with your friends. Fellowship is similar and heavily inspired by World of Warcraft Mythic Plus and it is free to play during this open beta!

This is also a great preparation to get some early experience in the game, if you are expecting to play it when the game goes into Early Access on October 16th, 2025.

Fellowship Open Beta Characters

During the open beta, you can enjoy seven characters that are currently active. Ranging from tanks, to healers and ranged to melee damage dealers. For those who played other playtests, sadly Elarion (ranged) and Tariq (melee) are not available in the open beta.

Tanks

  • Helena is your usual armor tank class. A warrior using a sword and board playstyle to keep aggro and defend herself and her allies with strong armor and damage reductions in the form of Toughness. Keeping her Toughness up is your key priority, to make sure that she takes the least amount of damage. Your offensive abilities lower the cooldown of some of your defensive abilities, so make sure you keep dealing damage as well. Helena Guide – Abilities, Gameplay, and Tips
  • Meiko is the tank class that is more focused on buffing herself and dodging as much as she can. She can shield herself from incoming damage, as well as heal back a portion of the damage that she takes. Both of which can be increased by buffing yourself at the right time and for the right reasons. Meiko is also the tank that can reposition enemies and pull them towards her, helping her allies deal more damage. Meiko Guide – Abilities, Gameplay, and Tips

Ranged

  • Rime is a ranged ice mage class that uses ice and frost to deal damage and slow opponents. With the ability to summon an ice circle that deals damage in an Area of Effect, as well as a single-target debuff, that pulsates damage in a small area around her, Rime is pretty strong against packs. But with her single-target bolt and channeled beam, she is still pretty good against a single boss. Rime Guide – Abilities, Gameplay, and Tips
  • Ardeos is a fire mage class that uses damage over time effects and scorching attacks to burn his targets from afar. With several abilities that deal damage over the next few seconds, as well as the ability to explode an enemy, he can both deal significant damage to a single-target, as well as to a small group. And with his Flame Shield defensive, he can also protect himself well against his enemies' attacks.

Melee

  • Mara is the most awesome character and the best designed so far. The rogue class holds two beautiful swords and can use them to attack from stealth for an increase in damage dealt. She also brings both a single-target and multi-target finisher to use her combo points on, which she can build with both a single-target and multi-target generator ability. She also will deal damage over time with a bleed that is particularly useful on bosses.

Healers

  • Sylvie, the druidic kind of nature healer class that can heal with over time effects, as well as summons a companion to help her keep her allies alive. The companion comes with his own set of abilities and it can prevent some damage, as well as directly heal damage already taken. Sylvie herself can heal with roots spurting from the ground and of course dispel offensive abilities that enemies have casted on her allies. Sylvie Guide – Abilities, Gameplay, and Tips
  • Vigour is your priest healer class, this Dwarf knows the ins and outs of holy magic and will use it to keep his allies safe from harm. Not just by healing them back up with area or group heals that hit multiple targets, but also by shielding them from incoming damage. Several of his abilities can even do it all with the right talent set up. Deal damage to enemies, heal allies and shield them for a portion of the amount healed, all with the same ability. Vigour Guide – Abilities, Gameplay, and Tips

Fellowship Open Beta Dungeons and Maps

During the Fellowship open beta, you will be able to play a variety of maps that keep your gameplay interesting. Which one you get is usually random as you are not able to choose what you want. The maps range from icy caverns to eternal sand dunes and much more. For the beginner, you start out with adventure maps that consist of only a single boss each. These maps usually take about 15 minutes each. For stronger characters and more experienced player, there are also Raids that take a lot longer as they consist of 3-4 bosses each. The raids can easily push you to 45 minutes each, since it is a lot easier to get lost.

For those who played other playtests, sadly enough Everdawn Grove and Godfall Quarry are not available as adventures and Ransack of Drakheim is not available in the open beta as a Raid either.

Adventures

  • On the icy mountain of Wyrmheart you will need to defeat a magistrate and his horde of evil frost elves.
  • During the Stormwatch adventure, you will fight an orc warlord in a cliffside stronghold.
  • In the dark chasm, Sailor's Abyss, undead sailors will try to hold you back before you reach the Sea Witch boss.
  • You will defeat an ancient celestial, after walking the eternal dunes of Empyrean Sands.
  • Aiming to reach the resurrected demon god, you will fight through orc in the jungle of Urrak Markets.

Raids

  • Fighting the frost elves again in Cithrel's Fall, you protect the world by preventing a god being used as a weapon.
  • Demonbrand, a powerful weapon, is being reforged in The Heart of Tuzari by an evil orc warlord. Stop him before he uses the weapon.
  • Wrathtide Vault is located on an island overrun by pirates and you are tasked to make sure the vault, harboring a demon's power, is not unleashed onto the world.
